Privacy policy

Boudoir Studios is a free directory, and we understand that looking for a boudoir photographer is a private, personal thing. So the short version is this: there are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no forms and no lead capture. We do not ask who you are, and we do not want to know. This page explains the only two places where data is nonetheless involved — advertising and analytics — and exactly what you can do about each.

Your browsing here is private

This site does not collect “get a quote” requests, capture leads, or ask you to tell us which studios you are interested in. There is nothing to submit. When you decide to contact a photographer, you do it directly — on the studio's own website or by phone — so that conversation is between you and them, and never passes through us. We do not see it, store it, or share it.

Information we collect directly

None, beyond what any web server necessarily receives to deliver a page. We do not operate accounts, we do not run forms, and we do not ask for your name, email address or location. If you email us at hello@boudoirstudios.net, we hold that message so we can reply and act on it, and we do not add you to any list.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• Where required by law — for example for visitors in the EEA and the UK — advertising and cookies are governed by a consent prompt, and you can decline or limit personalised ads there. You can change your choice at any time.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices, or for European users at youronlinechoices.eu.

We do not have access to, and do not control, the cookies used by advertising partners, and we do not receive the personal information they may process.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful and where the site is slow or broken — page views, referring sites, approximate region, device type. This is used only in aggregate to improve the directory. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, we do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell or share visitor data with anyone. GA4 is subject to Google's privacy policy; you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Maps and embedded content

Listing, city and state pages include an interactive map. Map tiles load from third-party servers, which necessarily receive the request needed to serve them. The map only requests your location if you explicitly press the locate button, and that location is used in your browser to centre the map — it is not sent to us or stored anywhere.

Studio listing data

Listings are compiled from publicly available business information — studio name, address, phone number, opening hours, website, ratings and public review excerpts — for studios operating commercially and open to the public. This is business information, not personal information about private individuals. The site shows no photographs.

If you own or represent a listed studio and want your listing corrected, a review excerpt removed, or the listing taken down entirely, email hello@boudoirstudios.net and we will action it quickly. See the contact page for details.

Your choices

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the directory works fine without them.
• Decline or limit personalised advertising through the consent prompt, or the opt-out links above.
• Use your browser's tracking-protection or private-browsing features for extra discretion.
• Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to keep GA4 off entirely.
• Email us to have a studio listing corrected or removed.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
